I enjoy helping people solve complicated problems and I excel at helping them do so as quickly, efficiently, and joyfully as possible.

Day to day, I design business-minded, user-centered, easy-to-use applications, products, and websites that solve real problems for real people.

I currently work with the talented and ambitious team at Opower, where we’re working to help people understand their energy usage and become more energy efficient. I previously worked with the sharp-witted folks at Mule Design Studio, and got my start with the ever-professional-and-gracious Viget Labs.

I grew up in Iowa, but have family in North Carolina and love to visit there when I can. I play soccer as often as possible, and ride my fixed gear everywhere in SF. I’m currently studying French and hope to become fluent before moving on to Spanish. I’m also interested in programming and being able to build out my own ideas. My academic and professional backgrounds are in visual communication, journalism, and professional writing.
